The Feature Film Producer

The duties of the Film Producer often fall under one of two titles: the Creative/Developing Producer, and the Line Producer.

Creative/Developing Producer: Develops the material or idea for a movie.

Line Producer: Gets the movie made. The line producer manages all the production tasks through pre-production, production, and post-production.

During Tom Kane's Film and Video Production Workshop, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the job duties and roles of a line producer. In only 3 intensive days, this course will teach you what you need to know to become a successful feature film producer, a shrewd unit production manager, and a disciplined assistant director.

Tom Kane's All New Film Production Workshop DVD Series was recorded on location in Denver, CO during a live workshop. The package includes: 8 discs: 7 DVDs of the 3-Day Film Workshop, recorded live, plus the Workshop Manual, and both Prizzi's Honor and Crossfire Trail screenplays on disc.
